Lewiston’s acting health officer has declared the Golder Road area a health hazard, enabling the city to proceed with plans to install a sewer line, despite not having the support of the majority of abutting property owners.
The Lewiston City Council will receive a report from Monique Dutil, R. N., on malfunctioning septic systems in the Golder Road area when the council meets Tuesday night. The council asked for the report two weeks ago when it authorized the Public Works Department to proceed forward with the $82,000 project.
