More than 400 children interacted with dental hygienists, chiropractors, firefighters, police officers, Scoutmasters, paramedics, massage therapists and eye doctors during the event that was dedicated to children’s health, safety and environmental awareness. Dr. Chandra Sasseville, a Lewiston chiropractor, held her first Kids Day America in 2003 with 50 kids in her Lewiston office. “It keeps getting bigger and bigger,” said Sasseville, who spearheads the event on the third Saturday of each September. The event raised $3,000 through sponsors to benefit New Beginnings, a Lewiston agency that works with homeless teenagers. McConaughey is a second-grader at Sherwood Heights Elementary School.
