AUBURN — St. Dominic Academy will enshrine three alumni into the school’s athletic hall of fame next weekend.

The Class of 2010, the school’s third group of inductees, includes Raymond Bedard, Erica Dorso, Diane Jalbert Robitalle and the 1961 hockey team.

• Bedard, class of 1947 — Bedard was the captain of the 1947 hockey team, the first team to win the state title and compete in the New Englands. He was also captain of the baseball team and was scouted by the St. Louis Cardinals.

• Dorso, class of 2004 — Dorso was a three-sport athlete at the varsity level for four years at St. Dom’s. In field hockey, she was the school’s all-time leading scorer with 113 goals. She was Maine Field Hockey Association all-state player her junior and senior years, and she was a starter for the first girls’ ice hockey team at St. Dom’s. She was named to the all-star team her junior and senior years. In softball, Dorso earned the distinction of Class C West softball player of the year in 2004. She was named to the all-WMC team for three of her four years.

• Jalbert Robitalle, class of 1969 — Jalbert Robitaille will be inducted posthumously as a lifetime achievement award winner. Diane was a cheerleader during her years at St. Dom’s. In 1977, she became part of the faculty and became cheering coach in 1980. UNder her coaching, St. Dom’s won seven state championships. She always supported the cheering program in every way and encouraged the team to “smile until their cheeks hurt.”

• The 1961 hockey team will receive the State Champions Recognition Award. The sportsmanship and play during the 1960-61 hockey season brought hope and respect to the future of hockey at St. Dom’s. Bert Ouellette was named New England’s Outstanding Goalie. He was a New England All Star along with Roger Sinclair, Ray Duchette and Normand Lacasse.
