FARMINGTON — A Jay woman was sentenced Friday in Franklin County Superior Court to 60 days in jail and ordered to pay  $7,942.06 in restitution for a slew of burglaries.

The state sought a five-year sentence with all but 60 days suspended, three years probation and restitution on 10 felony charges against Danielle Adams Rundlett, 23. It also sought 30-day sentences to run concurrently for several misdemeanor charges of forgery, theft and violating conditions of release, on the charges dating back to 2007.

The burglaries occurred in Farmington, Jay, Fayette, Industry, Strong, New Vineyard and Chesterville. Checks stolen during the burglaries were forged in Wilton, Farmington, Avon, Carrabassett Valley and Stratton, according to 2008 police accounts of  the nearly 20 burglaries over two years.

Rundlett was charged along with Justin Rundlett of Jay and Andrew Burton of Strong.

“Substance abuse is at the heart of all these offenses,” Assistant District Attorney Andrew Robinson told the court Friday, referring to Danielle Rundlett. He said she is completing one treatment program and about to start another. The state’s goal for the mother of two young children is for her to continue to make great strides in treatment, he said.

“The proof is in the pudding. It’s up to her now,” he said.

Her jail sentence begins Oct. 6.
