MEXICO — Androscoggin Home Care and Hospice, along with River Valley Healthy Community Coalition and Rumford Hospital, will offer the six-week exercise program called “Moving Freely.”

Although designed for senior citizens, men and women of all ages are welcome to attend the classes. The class will start Monday, Oct. 11. Classes are held from 9 to 10 a.m. Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, at the Mexico Recreation Center Gym on Recreation Drive.

The goal of Moving Freely is to help participants achieve and maintain vital, independent lives by incorporating movement into their daily routine. The program offers exercises that are safe, simple, fun and effective.

Participants will learn why these exercises are necessary, what they do for the body and mind and how to incorporate them into their daily lives. The exercises work to achieve a full range of movement in all body parts to develop flexibility, agility, coordination, balance and strength.

Fee for participants is $15 for the six-week program. To preregister, call Androscoggin Home Care and Hospice at 800-482-7412, ext. 1404.
