LEWISTON — Central Maine Midwives will host a “Meet the Midwives” reception from 4 to 6 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 6, in Conference Room I, located in the lower level of the 12 High Street Medical Office Building, adjacent to Central Maine Medical Center.

The reception is open to current and former patients, as well as to anyone else interested in learning more about the care provided by the Central Maine Midwives five certified nurse-midwives. Registration is not necessary.

Certified nurse-midwives are providers who specialize in pregnancy, birth and the health care needs of women throughout their lifespan. National Midwifery Week is Oct. 3 through 9.
