Citizens of Auburn, Poland, New Gloucester and Durham are fortunate to have Deb Simpson as their state senator. She possesses many legislative accomplishments to her credit during her time in the State House.

One example of her vigorous support for consumer protection measures is sponsoring a bill to prevent a medical facility from charging patients, insurance companies or employees for services rendered to correct the facility’s mistake.

Simpson values the importance of Maine companies and has voted to repeal the property tax on business equipment and repeal the local inventory tax.

As chairwoman of the State and Local Government Committee, as well as the Government Oversight Committee, she is an influential leader in the Legislature. A member of the Natural Resources Committee and the Joint Select Committee on Maine’s Energy Future, she is poised to discover efficient energy investments leading to the creation of desirable Maine jobs.
