LISBON — Jack Erickson scored three goals and assisted on a fourth to lift St. Dom’s to a 4-2 triumph over Lisbon in an MVC boys’ soccer game Friday.
The Saints took command early, building a 3-1 lead by halftime. Alex Parker chipped in with one goal and two assists.
Scoring for Lisbon were Morgan Reeves and Zack Stephens.
Cam Hainey made one save for the Saints, while Shane Tanguay was credited with five stops for Lisbon.
Hall-Dale 2, Monmouth 0
MONMOUTH — Playing its second game in as many days, Monmouth wore down in the second half after playing Hall-Dale even for the first 40 minutes and dropped a 2-0 decision.
Colin Lush broke the scoreless tie five minutes into the second half and Kurt Thiele added an insurance goal for the Bulldogs (7-4).
Robby Neal made 15 saves in net for the Mustangs (5-5-1). Hall-Dale’s John McNaughton had 11 saves.
Jay 1, Dirigo 1
JAY — Eli Capen scored the tying goal with 8:36 remaining in regulation to help winless Jay earn a 1-1 tie with Dirigo.
Following a scoreless first half, Cody St. Germain gave the Cougars (8-2-1) a 1-0 advantage, which held up until Capen’s heroics for Jay (0-8-2).
Tyler Gervais of Jay and Dirigo’s Travis Willis were the goalkeepers.
Mountain Valley 1, Mt. Abram 1
SALEM — After two scoreless overtimes, Mountain Valley and Mt. Abram still couldn’t settle their differences and played to a 1-1 tie in a boys’ soccer game Friday.
In the first half, the Falcons scored first when Austin Glover dropped one in the net on an a direct kick.
A one-goal lead wouldn’t hold up for the Falcons. The Roadrunners tied up with 3:37 left in the game when Ian James collected a ball at midfield and broke through to score, unassisted.
Mountain Valley goalie Josh Beedy made five saves, while his counterpart in net for Mt. Abram, Kyle Gauvin made 8.
