AUBURN — Aleta Rioux and Bonnie Stone, co-chairs of the IHM Parish third annual Harvest and Craft Fair, have announced that this year’s fair will be held from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 16, at the St. Dom’s Academy gymnasium, 121 Gracelawn Road.

The fair will feature numerous crafters and artisans. There will be a silent auction with a few antiques, a Beatles album and other valuable items. An array of theme baskets will be sold. A bakery and a cafe will also be available.

Free hourly drawings for door prizes will be offered. A raffle and a 50/50 will be drawn at 3 p.m. Prizes for the raffle include a $1,000 first prize, two rocking chairs for second prize and a custom made bookcase for a third prize.

The fair will feature a Children’s Area manned by students and an advisor from St. Dom’s who are raising funds for their annual Mission Mississippi Project.

Cathy White, St. Mary’s Lifeline program manager, will demonstrate the Lifeline Personal Emergency Response Service and the Phillips Medication Dispenser for St Mary’s Health System.

A few tables are still available for rent. The cost is $350 for one table and $50 for two. All contracts must be signed and the table space must be paid for no later than Wednesday, Oct. 13. If interested, call Rita at 689-3941 or Aleta at 966-3699.

The weekend event will conclude with a Harvest Dinner, cooked and served by the Knights of Columbus, at noon Sunday, Oct. 17, in the Sacred Heart Church hall at 8 Sacred Heart Place in Auburn. Tickets for the dinner may be purchased at the fair or by calling Bonnie at 783-9608 or Aleta at 966-3699.
