LEWISTON — The Farwell Elementary School PTA will celebrate the season with its 41st annual Pumpkin Festival to be held from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 17, at Farwell Elementary School on Farwell Street. The event is open to the public.

The family festival will offer an assortment of entertainment, crafts, games, food, a basket raffle, scarecrow contest and pumpkins. Many volunteers from the Farwell School PTA are helping to get ready for the event and if the fundraising goal is reached, Principal Althea Walker has promised to dye a blue streak in her hair.
