LEWISTON — The Lewiston-Auburn Interfaith Clergy Association will present a series of visits to local houses of worship. The purpose of the visits is to break down barriers and dispel myths regarding various faith traditions.
The group has arranged three visits: Sunday, Oct. 17, at the Temple Shalom Synagogue Center, 74 Bradman St., Auburn; Sunday, Oct. 30, at the Basilica of Ss. Peter and Paul, Bartlett and Ash streets, Lewiston; and Sunday, Nov. 14, at the United Methodist Church of Auburn, 439 Park Ave., Auburn.
Each visit will start at 3 p.m. with an overview of the faith and its basic tenets, followed by a tour of the facility. Refreshments will be served.
Additional visits are anticipated for the spring of 2011. For more information, contact Pat Gavula at Prince of Peace Parish at 777-1200 or [email protected].
