Members from more than a dozen program advisory committees at Central Maine Community College convened on campus last month for a fall kickoff breakfast meeting. The advisory committees, comprised largely of local employers and employees working in fields related to their respective programs, provide the college with input on the needs of the community and local businesses. They make recommendations concerning curriculum and program instruction, assist in the development of long-range goals and help faculty determine how programs can better prepare students for their chosen careers. Several members of the advisory committee for the CMCC business programs are pictured, from left, Peter Murphy, Neokraft Signs; Kurk Lalemand, Next Level Business Coaching; Susan Stacey, corporate training coordinator at CMCC; and Elaine Hemenway, Payroll Management.
