I had the pleasure to serve on New Gloucester’s Budget Committee this year with Chairwoman Ellie Espling. There was controversy concerning the budget, but she handled the pressure with grace and mature leadership.

Although we did not agree on every issue, I found her to be thoughtful and tolerant of opposing views during our discussions.

As the Republican daughter of a lifelong Democrat and union member, she is used to respectfully considering opposing ideas. She has promised to listen and respond to the citizens of New Gloucester, Durham and Lisbon as their representative in Augusta, regardless of party affiliation.

I will vote for Ellie Espling for Representative of House District 105.
