NORWAY– Selectmen will vote on a $15,000 donation from New Balance when they meet at 7 p.m Thursday at the Town Hall.
The donation will pay to build a warming hut for the town skating rink on Cottage Street, Town Manager David Holt said.
The rink is near the New Balance factory and is a popular spot for the skating program organized by Recreation Director Deb Partridge.
In an e-mail Wednesday, Holt wrote, “Over the years, (Partridge) has grown a very good outdoor skating program, thanks in no small part to Bruce Fox who floods the rink and to the many citizens who have donated skates.”
Also on Thursday’s agenda is an annual review of the town’s General Assistance policy and rate.
