MEXICO — Police said the same suspect is probably responsible for two separate attempts to remove inspection stickers from unlocked vehicles.

Sgt. Roy Hodsdon said the first incident was reported at 3:31 p.m. Oct. 8 when a Granite Street man said his vehicle was entered and the inspection sticker had been scraped.

The second incident was reported at 8:04 a.m.,Oct. 19 when someone entered two vehicles parked at a Highland Terrace residence and tried to scrape off both stickers.

The owner said she believed the attempted theft happened the night before the incidents were reported. One of the vehicles sustained slight damage.

Police have no leads.
