LIVERMORE FALLS — The Jay Livermore Falls Seniors met on Oct. 18 at Murray Hall, with Chairwoman Shirley Couture presiding. There were 29 members and one guest present. Alice Demorais returned after a brief bout of sickness. Al Knowlton was also welcomed back.

The secretary’s report was read and accepted. Couture reminded the members that Halloween will be celebrated at the next meeting on Monday, Oct. 25, and cider and donuts will be provided.

The group has raised more money for the Togus Hospital coffee fund for veterans. Couture again asked for ideas for the Christmas party. Nancy Couture volunteered to cater it and everyone agreed. She will bring a sample of ideas to serve and the group will vote on their preferred choice. The 50/50 was won by Carmen Moreau.

Following the short meeting a Chinese auction was held. Refreshments were served, brought by Lorette Chabot and Patricia Couture, and the group played games.
