NORWAY — For its fall production, the Oxford Hills Music and Performing Arts Association will take audiences on a musical journey it has never yet undertaken.
“Roles of a Lifetime” features myriad songs from theater productions that OHMPAA would most likely never have the chance to perform due to logistical constraints.
This production is the troupe’s effort to get great music from Broadway hits like “Rent” and “The Color Purple,” as well as enchanting songs from lesser-known shows like “Lunch” and “A New Brain.”
With these songs, the cast of 11 weaves a powerful and sometimes whimsical tale through life’s ups and downs.
A year in the making, “Roles of a Lifetime” is the brain child of directors Norman Hutchins and Jeff Orwig.
The play will be presented at 8 p.m. Nov. 11, 12, 13 and 18, 19, 20; and 2 p.m. Nov. 14 and 21 at the Norway Grange, 15 Whitman St. Tickets for OHMPAA ‘s musicals are $12 for adults, $10 for students/children 18 and younger and senior citizens 55 and older. Tickets are available at Books N Things, at 743-7197, or at OHMPAA.org.
