DEAR SUN SPOTS: Any individual, family or soup kitchen interested in receiving a freshly harvested, field-dressed Maine deer, please contact me at 375-4718. You must process and package the animal yourself. — Steve, Sabattus

ANSWER: Sun Spots predicts you will be overwhelmed with responses to your generous offer.

DEAR SUN SPOTS: Hopefully someone will be able to help me find a 2010 nickel. As each of my great-grandchildren is born, I make up a set of coins in their birth year. The newest, born in August, has not received his set, as I cannot find the nickel.

Republic Jewelry and Coin, the banks, stores, do not have any. I sure would appreciate it if someone would sell me one.

Also, I know there are ladies who make mittens, etc., out of fleece and yarn. I have three pieces of fleece, one-and-a-half yards each, of navy, black and green, and a few skeins of yarn to donate. Thanks for your help. — Jan, Turner, 225-3974

DEAR SUN SPOTS: I would like to tell the ladies who were asking about counted cross-stitch. I have patterns, several floss and material of counted cross-stitch. They can call me at 777-3595. If I’m not home, they can leave a message on my answering machine. Thank you. — Anita Fortier, Lewiston

DEAR SUN SPOTS: I read your Oct. 8 column regarding stamp collection or accumulations. I am an active stamp collector and have been for years.

I have all the catalogs for stamps, either foreign or U.S. My phone number is 353-2848. I would be more than happy to help people find the book value (and realistic value) of their stamps.

If any local collectors would be interested in setting up stamp/coin clubs, please let me know. Thank you. — John N. Moulton, Lisbon Falls

When chapel bells are ringing

I hear sweet voices singing

tis then I hear your call

All through my life I wonder with thoughts of you dear, always of you dear
