FARMINGTON — The staff at the Franklin County Animal Shelter said Gus Gus is a handsome hound mix that will melt your heart. He knows sit and lay down and walks fairly well on his lead.

The best thing about Gus Gus, they said, is that he does well with most other dogs, cats and kids. He would get along well in any household. Staff said that anyone looking for a great family dog should stop by the Franklin County Animal Shelter and meet Gus Gus.

The shelter has also announced that Dane the shepherd mix, that has been at the shelter since April, has gone to a home, and so has their hound mix Jackson.

The Franklin County Animal Shelter will host a benefit spaghetti dinner from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday, Nov. 12, at the Old South Church. There will also be a silent auction. Tickets are available in advance at the shelter, 550 Industry Road and will also be available at the door. Cost for adults is $6 and for children, $4.
