Grange meeting
POLAND — Members of Androscoggin Pomona Grange will meet on Wednesday, Nov. 3, at Excelsior Grange for a 6:30 p.m. supper. The business meeting will start at 7:30.
The program will be presented by the Legislative Committee. A 50/50 raffle and attendance drawing will be held. All members and guests are welcome.
Literary Union
AUBURN — The Woman’s Literary Union will meet at 2 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 4, at the clubhouse, 19 Elm St. The featured speaker will be Lynn Maxfield-Cole, of Decorating Plus. She will share her expertise on adapting homes attractively to changing life styles.
Margaret O’Donnell and Cathy Westleigh are in charge of hospitality. Refreshments will be served and guests are welcome.
Bridge results
LEWISTON — The Lewiston-Auburn Duplicate Bridge Club held its annual membership game on Oct. 26 at the Multi-Purpose Center. Overall winners were Luke Merry and Michael Quinn. North/South winners in Flight A were: first, Nancy Farmer and Marta Clements; tied at second, Kathleen Burden and Mary Anne Trafton with Richard Balian and Peter Cummings. Flight B winners, tied, Kathleen Burden and Mary Anne Trafton with Richard Balian and Peter Cummings.
East/West winners in Flight A were: first, Luke Merry and Michael Quinn; second, David Lock and Patricia Garcia; third, Fred Letourneau and Jeanine Kivus. Flight B winners were Paul Sherman and Jackie Deschene. Another game will be played at 9 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 2, at the center.
The club also met on Oct. 27 at Schooner Estates in Auburn. Winners were: first, Patricia Quinn and Claire Lyons; second, John Hackett and Leslie Buzzell. Another game will be held at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 3, at Schooner Estates.

Country show
MECHANIC FALLS — The Down East Country Music Association will hold its seventh annual Country Legends and Memorial Award Show on Sunday, Nov. 7, at the Silver Spur, Route 121.
The event will start at noon and will be filled with entertainment throughout the day by the DECMA pioneers and legends.
