LEWISTON — A Mass of Christian Burial honoring the life of Irene F. Cote was celebrated Monday by the Rev. Nathan March at Holy Family Church of the Prince of Peace Parish. During the service Irene’s children draped their mother’s casket with the white burial pall that signify’s Irene’s birth into a new life with God. The first reading was proclaimed by Irene’s daughter, Brenda Cote, the prayer of the faithful was recited Irene’s grandson, Daryl Cote, the offertory gifts were brought to the altar by granddaughters, Emily Cote and Sarah Colby. Following a procession to St. Peter’s Cemetery, Father March recited committal prayers and services concluded with Irene’s daughter, Bonnie Colby sharing words of remembrance about her family. Pallbearers were Jeff Cote, Gary Marston, Maria Marston, Hannah Vogel, Kyle Cyr, and Sean Holbrook. At the conclusion of services all were invited to a reception of fellowship at the Chick-A-Dee Restaurant in Lewiston. Arrangements by Pinette & Lynch Funeral Home.
