MEXICO — The following incidents were handled recently by the Mexico Police Department:
Arrest
Kenneth Briggette, 48, North Street, Dixfield, on a charge of operating under the influence, at 8:45 p.m., Oct. 23, on the River Road. He was released from the Rumford Police Department on $800 unsecured bail. He is scheduled to appear in Rumford District Court on Jan. 4, 2011.
Theft
A Harlow Hill resident reported at 8:29 p.m., Oct. 27, that someone took two BMX-style bicycles, valued at $200, from his yard sometime during the previous three days.
Vandalism
The Mexico Car Wash on Main Street reported vandalism to business equipment valued at $50 sometime between late Friday night, Oct. 22 and early Saturday, Oct. 23.
