DURHAM — Voters made it easier to buy liquor in town Tuesday, overwhelmingly passing two referendum questions.
The first asked voters to authorize the state to issue licenses for the sale of liquor to be consumed on the premises of licensed establishments on days other than Sunday. It passed by a vote of 1,347 to 609.
The second question asked voters to authorize the state to issue licenses for the sale of liquor to be consumed on the premises of licensed establishments on Sundays. It passed by a vote of 1,219 to 764.
