LEEDS — Patrick N. Rines, 46, of Leeds died unexpectedly Monday, Nov. 1.
He was born in Augusta, Jan. 26, 1964, the son of the late Walter M. and Jeanette (Smith) Rines. Patrick attended Oak Hill High School. On June 7, 1987, he married the former Lisa Picard.
He was a self-taught diesel mechanic from the age of 14, and a self-proclaimed “jack-of-all-trades, and master of none.”
His hobbies included racing, snowmobiles, fabricating and designing. Patrick’s greatest joy in life was his family, spending time with them and his little dog “Nixy.” He was a loving husband, father, son, brother, uncle, nephew and friend. Everyone who met him left his presence with a smile.
Besides his wife, Lisa, of Leeds, he is survived by two sons, Patrick N. Rines II and Jason P. Rines, both of Leeds; two brothers, Walter “Skip” M. and his wife, Lisa Rines, of Sabattus and Andrew D. and his wife, Celeste Rines, of Turner; three sisters, April S. and her husband, Douglas Beaupre, of Lewiston, Sheryl L. and her husband, Jeffrey Rousseau, of Leeds and Terry A. Rines of Greene; a special father-in-law, Paul R. Picard of Lewiston; and uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was predeceased by a sister, Kelly Rines in 1963.
