LEWISTON — Memorial services honoring the life of Carlyle “Bud” W. Rogers Jr., was held Wednesday at the Pinette & Lynch Funeral Home with the Rev. Richard Cullen presiding. During the service, words of remembrance were shared by Bud’s brother, Bill Rogers, Bud’s friends, Charlie Smith and Gary Brooks, as well as Bud’s cousin and fellow Patriot Guard member, Henri Carrere. Both before and after the services the Patriot Guard stood at attention all holding American flags at the entrance of the funeral home in honor of Bud, a fellow member. At the conclusion of services, the U.S. Army Honor Detail played “taps” and presented our country’s flag to Bud’s two sons, Carlyle Rogers III and Christopher Rogers. Burial will be held privately.
