Extension homemakers

INDUSTRY — The Clearwater Extension Homemakers will meet at 7 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 11, at Shorey Chapel. The planned program will be on the American history of cooking. Everyone is welcome to attend.

Open house

INDUSTRY — The Clearwater Food Pantry on Route 184 in West Mills, Industry, invites the public to its open house from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 14. Shorey Chapel United Church of Christ, in partnership with Clearwater Ministries, will host the celebration and dedication of the new building.

Holiday fair

RANGELEY — The Episcopal Church Women of Good Shepherd Church will sponsor its annual Holiday Fair from 9:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 13, in the undercroft. Holiday tables will feature handmade decorations, gifts and Christmas accessories.

Decorated tins may be filled with homemade cookies and the baked goods table will offer assorted breads, cakes, fudge and preserves. Lunch will be served from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. with chicken pot pie and fish chowder. Take out orders are available.

County meeting

FARMINGTON — The Threshold To Maine Resource Conservation and Development Area will hold a local county meeting for RC&D sponsors and the general public from 10 a.m. to noon Monday, Nov. 15, in the conference room at the USDA Service Center.

Craft fair

FARMINGTON — A craft fair will be held from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 13, at the Fairbanks School Meeting House, Route 4. Proceeds will benefit the Storage Shed. Table are available. For more information, call 778-3808 or 778-3267.

Hunters breakfast

PHILLIPS — The Phillips eighth grade class of 2011 invites the public to the annual hunters breakfast from 4:30 to 9 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 13, at the Phillips Elementary School. The cost is $6; children under 12, $4.

There will be pancakes, eggs, sausage, bacon, home fries, toast, juice and coffee. One does not have to be a hunter to come to the breakfast. All are welcome. Proceeds will benefit the class trip to Quebec in the spring.
