AUBURN — Auburn Residential Development Corporation, a 501c3 affiliate of Auburn Housing Authority, recently completed renovations to its property located at 11-15 South Main Street in New Auburn. The ARDC board also voted to rename the property New Auburn Place and authorized the installation of a sign which complements the historic sign located on Vincent Square Apartments across the street.
Two accessible apartments have been created on the first floor and facade improvements to reflect much of the building’s original appearance were accomplished with the guidance of local architect Dan Moreno. Information on the new apartments is available from Auburn Housing Authority at 20 Great Falls Plaza, 784-7351.
The location, at the gateway to New Auburn, has also been enhanced by the creation of a small park in front of the recently revived Vincent Building. The City of Auburn, though its use of Community Development Block Grant funds from the federal government, was able to cost effectively improve this City-owned parcel through the use of Public Works employees to create this highly visible and functional public improvement.
