LEWISTON — A Mass of Christian Burial honoring the life of Keith C. Roberts was celebrated Monday by the Rev. Nathan March at Holy Family Church of the Prince of Peace Parish. The Reverend Peter Conroy 4th Degree Knights of Columbus Assembly No. 2516 served as honor guard during the services as well as during calling hours at Pinette & Lynch Funeral Home. At the beginning of Mass, Keith’s wife, Doris and their children, Kevin, Kathy, and Mark draped Keith’s casket with a white burial pall which signify their father’s passing into a new spiritual life with God. The New Testament reading was proclaimed by Keith’s daughter-in-law, Anissa Roberts. The offertory gifts were brought to the altar by Keith’s brother-in-law, Larry Martel and his family Judy and Christine. After a procession to St. Peter’s Cemetery, Father March recited committal prayers after which the United States Navy Honor Detail played “taps” and presented our country’s flag to Keith’s wife Doris in tribute to her husband’s 23 years of service in the U.S. Navy. The Rev. Conroy Assembly 4th degree honor guard raised their swords in remembrance of Keith one last time following military honors. The 4th Degree honor guard members were, Commander Norm Lebel, Faithful Navigator, Daniel Ouellette, Guards, Raymond Levesque, Don Morin, Gerry Bouffard, Al Veins, Roger St. Pierre, and Bob Hebert. Pallbearers were Nathan Ouellette, who also served as flag bearer, Scott Douglas, Norm Bisson, Ray Letourneau, Dan Isabelle and Larry Boulet. At the conclusion of services, all were invited to a reception of fellowship at the Ramada Inn in Lewiston.
