Christmas in the Valley

Craft Fair

9 a.m.-2 p.m.

December 4 at Mountain Valley High School

I’m dreaming of a White Christmas… Come and experience the talents of the fine crafters at the annual Christmas in the Valley Craft Fair at Mountain Valley High School on Dec. 4 from 9 a.m-2 p.m. With space available for 56 crafters, it’s one to definitely attend. A $1 donation at the door will help the Interact Group with their upcoming activities.

Come early to pick up your holiday cookies at the always-popular Cookie Walk where over 65 dozen cookies will be available. The Kid’s Corner, under the supervision of the Interact Group, where the children can come and play games, win prizes, and have their photo taken with Mr. & Mrs. Frosty, will be from 10 a.m.-1 p.m.

Need a great Christmas gift? Take chances on a rocking chair filled with gifts of comfort that will be raffled off and won at the end of the day by some lucky person. Raffle tickets are $1 for one or six for $5. These tickets will be available at the Christmas in the Valley apparel table located near the door as you enter the gym. Proceeds from this raffle go to the scholarship funds for Mountain Valley High and Dirigo High schools.

Don’t forget to get your tickets for the Chinese Auction where each crafter present will donate one of their wares to be raffled off to one of you very lucky people.

This year’s kitchen will be stocked and run by the Rumford/River Valley Relay For Life committee with all the kitchen proceeds going to Relay For Life. Breakfast will consist of donuts, coffee cake, coffee, tea, or hot chocolate. Lunch is going to include a mouth-watering turkey pie plate with all the fixings, chili, hot dogs or chili dogs, and homemade apple pie for dessert. Plan on having lunch at the fair. The committee will also be selling pies, so buy some for your holiday festivities. Advance orders: call Diane Mitchell at 364-8358. (Mince meat pies not available at this pie sale.)

The gingerbread competition for kids will take place at 1 p.m. and is sponsored by Relay For Life. For info, contact Diane Mitchell at 364-8358.

Let’s all mark our calendars for Dec. 4 and attend the annual Christmas in the Valley Craft Fair.
