FARMINGTON – A little bit of Broadway will once again come to Farmington on Nov. 19, 20 and 21, when the Sandy River Players Community Theater of Farmington will stage a Broadway revue entitled “Broadway on the Sandy.”

Top local talent of all ages will grace the stage to evoke memories of past SRP Broadway shows such as “West Side Story,” “Oliver,” and “Fiddler on the Roof,” and to represent shows not yet performed by SRP, including “Rent,” “Spring Awakening,” “Thoroughly Modern Millie,” “Les Miserables,” “Lion King, Tick-Tick-Boom,” and others. Among the familiar favorites will be “Circle of Life,” “Matchmaker,” “I Dreamed a Dream,” “Edelweiss,” and “Seasons of Love.”

Performers will include Franklin County community members, Mt. Blue High School faculty, students from Mt. Blue school district and UMF students. “We’re pleased to have a great mix of performers with a great range of Broadway numbers,” said Robin Lisherness, a codirector and himself a performer. “There’s something for everyone in this show.”

“Broadway on the Sandy” will be performed in Nordica Auditorium on the University of Maine at Farmington campus at 7 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 19 and Saturday, Nov. 20 at  and at 2 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 21 at 2 p.m.

All proceeds of the show will benefit the Clearwater Food Pantry. There will be a $6 donation requested at the door.
