LEWISTON — The American Legion Post 22 will meet at 6 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 18, at the Multi-Purpose Center on Birch Street.
Clara Glendenning, Auxiliary 22 president, will open the meeting at 5:15 p.m.
Commander Albert Landry and Adjutant Jerry DerBoghosian will speak on a planned membership drive for 2011 and membership dues will be discussed along with the post quota for the new year.
Joseph Paradis, trustee, and the Post are asking that members bring one or two cans of nonperishable goods to be distributed to a family in need at Thanksgiving time.
Forms will be available for those interested in having their name placed on a stone in the Veterans Memorial Park. The cost is $30.
Arthur Paradis, sergeant-at-arms, will be in charge of the 50/50 and the door prize. Lunch will be served by Trustee Doris Hamel and Second Vice Commander Bertrand Mathieu.
Donald Dube, post chaplain, will say the opening and closing prayers. A financial report will be given by Adjutant Jerry DerBoghosian.
All members must show their paid membership card. Dues for new members are $27.50 for 2011.
