LEWISTON — The Androscoggin County Chamber of Commerce breakfast program Thursday will feature Jake Ward of the University of Maine.

He will present a discussion pertaining to university research and development leading to jobs in Maine. The breakfast will be held at 7:15 a.m. Nov. 18 at the Hilton Garden Inn Auburn Riverwatch, 14 Great Falls Plaza, Auburn.

The breakfast is sponsored by Camden National Bank and Central Maine Medical Center. Call 783-2249 to reserve a spot. There is a nominal fee for attendance.

Ward is the assistant vice president of the University of Maine, Office of Research and Economic Development. The university averages hundreds of joint research and development projects with existing companies. He holds a bachelor of science degree in mechanical engineering and a master of science degree in ocean engineering from the University of New Hampshire.

Chamber members in the spotlight this month are the Gipper’s Sports Grill, Pathways, Sasseville Chiropractic, Sebago Technics and Weatherization Wizards.
