AUBURN — Ronaldo A. Lemay, 85, of New Auburn passed away at the Hospice House on Wednesday, Nov. 17.
He was born on Oct. 23, 1925, the son of Henry E. Lemay and Georgianna (Pepin) Lemay. He proudly served his country for 24 years during World War II. He served in the US Navy. After being honorably discharged from the Navy, he joined the Marines. While with the Marines, he served in the First Marine Division in Korea. Upon his honorable discharge from the Marines, he finished his service to his country in the US Army, retiring with the rank of SSG.
His awards include a World War II Victory Medal, American Theatre Medal, Asiatic Pacific Theatre Medal, Korean Service Medal, with three National Defense Service Medals, with one OLC, Good Conduct Medal and Bronze Clasp with three loops.
He is survived by his wife, Sandra Gosselin Lemay of New Auburn; daughters, Valerie Rowe and husband, Armand, of Hartford and Cynthia Walker of Auburn; son, Herb Davis and wife, Ruth, of New Auburn; brothers, Laurier and wife, Marie Lemay, Richard and wife, Anne Marie Lemay, and Thomas and wife, Lorraine Lemay; grandchildren, Magen and Tiffani Rowe of Hartford, William Rowe of New Auburn, Bethann McInnis of Buckfield, Mike Fogg of Mechanic Falls, Ronnie Walker Jr., Ryan Walker and Tim Lane Jr., all of Auburn; as well as many great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his parents and sister, Lorraine Lemay.
