Doug Gilpatric of Trees For Tomorrow in Minot cuts pine trees he just felled on the side of Bull Moose trail at Lost Valley Ski Area in Auburn on Monday morning. As part of Lost Valley’s 50th anniversary improvement projects, it will allow Lost Valley to host more ski meets, including this year’s Middle School Nordic and alpine ski championships. They will also begin hosting college meets again. In addition, they cut and cleared a new entrance to expand their Bear Terrain Park and created a new beginner rail garden. Other trails were expanded, including the Pine Grove glades.
