The Salvation Army of Lewiston-Auburn is organizing its annual toy drive. Many community partners are involved, but many more are needed. The Giving Tree at the Auburn Mall is filled with tags and BJ’s has a tree in its lobby. Each tag on the tree represents a local child’s gift request and clothing size. Gifts may also be donated through the online JCPenney Angel Tree, with free shipping. Donations may be brought to The Salvation Army at 67 Park St. in Lewiston or placed under the Giving Tree at the mall. Last Christmas, the program assisted more than 500 families. Lt. Jason Brake and Lt. Jennifer Brake of The Salvation Army are pictured at the Giving Tree at the Auburn Mall.
