Higgins’ father and bar owner, Jim “Dawg” Higgins, offered free Thanksgiving meals to anyone who stopped by. “We have had a real good turnout,” said Jim Higgins, a Vietnam and Gulf War veteran. Donations from the meal will be used to help war veterans. Long is also a Vietnam veteran.
