Seniors to meet

BETHEL — The Bethel Senior Citizens Club will gather at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 8, at the Bethel Inn for a meeting and dinner. The price for dinner is $10 for members and $12 for nonmembers.

Reservations must be made before noon Monday, Dec. 6, by calling Nancy at 824-3350 or Arlene at 824-2877. Members are asked to donate to Christmas for Families or Christmas for Kids.

Grange fundraisers

RUMFORD — Rumford Grange 115 holds fundraisers all year to provide support for local organizations and activities.

Most recently a party took place on Halloween night at the Grange Hall for children under 12. About 16 youngsters attended. Each child in costume had his or her picture taken before Donna Worcester, Vicki Clark and Wendell Easter passed out goodie bags. Also given were coloring books donated to the event by Mark Richardson of Rumford Center.

Tamara Webber of East Andover won a gift card as a door prize.

Other community service activities have involved fishing derbies, cemetery maintenance, including flowers on graves, donations to hospitals and nursing homes and the annual citizen of the year award.

Whitney Lodge

CANTON — Whitney Lodge 167, AF and AM, will hold its annual meeting at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 2, preceded by a casserole supper at 6:30. All Master Masons are welcome.
