Parent’s Night Out

AUBURN — The YMCA will hold a a “Parent’s Night Out” from 5:30 to 9:15 p.m. Friday, Dec. 3. Parent’s will get a night out, and the kids will be at the YMCA having fun. They will do crafts, play games, have snacks ahd watch a movie.

The event is for ages 4 to 10. Preregistration is required. Members can register on-line at www.alymca.org, stop by the Y at 62 Turner St., Auburn, or call 795-4095.

Sodality meeting

LEWISTON — The Rosary Sodality of Prince of Peace will hold a joint Christmas meeting with the members of St. Vincent de Paul at 6 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 7, in the Holy Cross Seniors Hall. Recitation of the rosary will be followed by a short meeting and gift exchange. Refreshments will be served.

Fortier Chapter

LEWISTON — The Dr. Paul J. Fortier Chapter 52, Royal Arcanum – ACA Division, will gather from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, Dec. 6, in the Senior Citizens Room of the Multi-Purpose Center.

Joining from Boston for the business meeting will be two guest representatives from Royal Arcanum, an international fraternity providing family protection. Refreshments will be served.

Disaster response

AUBURN — Auburn Patrolman Marshall McCamish will lead a disaster response session for adults at 7 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 9, in the training room at the Auburn Police Department, 1 Minot Ave.

There will be information for anyone interested in having a Neighborhood Watch in their area of Auburn. The training is organized by the Walton School Area Neighborhood Watch. Space is limited, RSVP by calling McCamish at 333-6650, ext. 2083, or e-mail [email protected].

SAD 52 classes

TURNER —SAD 52 Adult and Community Education will hold a one-night class on Monday, Dec. 6, to make Victorian holiday ornaments and several tree ornaments.

“Meeting Your Guardian Angel” is set for Wednesday, Dec. 8. Learn to connect with guardian angels and receive their assistance. Bring a beach chair or mat, pillow and blanket.

“Normal Stages of Child Development” will be hold on Thursday, Dec. 9. Learn about the normal stages of development and the building blocks of healthy development that help young children grow up healthy, caring and responsible.
