Rebekahs to meet

AUBURN — Liberty Rebekah Lodge 94 will gather at 6:45 p.m. Monday Dec. 6, in the activities room at the Odd Fellows and Rebekahs Home, 85 Caron Lane, to prepare for the 7 p.m. meeting.

Pam Black, noble grand, announced that the program will be “Pearl Harbor Remembered. Esther Tucker, vice grand, will circulate Christmas cards to be signed for shut-ins to be delivered along with gifts of remembrance.

Excelsior Grange

POLAND — Excelsior Grange 5, 446 Harris Hill Road, will meet Saturday, Dec. 4, with the business meeting beginning at 7 p.m. The Christmas season will be observed during the program hour, with refreshments following. All members and guests are invited.

AUBURN — The American Legion Post 31 commander has canceled the post meeting that was scheduled for Monday, Dec. 13. The Membership Committee will be present from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. to process new applications for membership.

New service club

AUBURN — A new Modern Woodmen of America Youth Service Club will start in Auburn, with its first activity at 9 a.m. on Sunday, Dec. 11, at Cumston Public Library, 796 Main St, Monmouth.

Children up to age 16 are invited to the activity to find out about the benefits of membership.

Kristi Laverdiere of North Monmouth will lead the club, and Deborah J. Wagemann of Auburn, a local Modern Woodmen representative, will sponsor the monthly activities.

Blood drive

LEWISTON — The Maine Blood Center will hold a blood drive from 10:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Monday, Dec. 13, at City Hall. All donors will receive a free gift card to Dunkin Donuts or Subway. For an appointment, call Tammy at 513-3000, ext. 3268. Walk-ins are welcome. Bring along a picture ID.

Bridge play

AUBURN — The Lewiston-Auburn Bridge Club winners at Schooner Estates on Dec. 1 were as follows:

First, Rosemarie Goodwin and Jim Smedley; second, Patricia and Mike Quinn; third, David Wallace and Tom Dahlberg.

Games are played at 9 a.m. Monday and Tuesday at the Multi-Purpose Center, 145 Birch St., Lewiston and at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday at Schooner Estates, 200 Stetson Rd. A partner is guaranteed.
