INDUSTRY — The Clearwater Extension Homemakers will meet at 7 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 9, at Shorey Chapel. The planned program is a Christmas party. Everyone is welcome to attend.
Blacksmith demo
WILTON — The Western Maine Blacksmith Association will meet at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 7, at the Wilton Historical Society.
At 8 p.m. professional blacksmith Gary Kenney will do a special demonstration of how to make a knife blade from twisted wire cable using forge welding and hammering. He’s also planning to make a few comments on making a sword blade.

Movie showing
RANGELEY — The Scholarship Committee of the Rangeley Masonettes will host a holiday showing of the classic, “A Christmas Story,” based on the novel, “In God We Trust, All Others Pay Cash” by Jean Shepherd.
The movie will show from 6 to 7:45 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 8, at Lakeside Theater to allow families with young children to attend. A donation of $5 for adults and $2 for children is requested.
