Portland storyteller Jean Armstrong involved many youngsters in her performance Thursday morning at Rumford Elementary School. Here, Adams Tag, grade 4, and Adreanna Scott, grade 2, get in character. Armstrong’s school-day visit is part of Literacy Day at the school. Additional performances were set for Thursday night and Friday. Students will have a chance to choose a book under the Reading Is Fundamental program.
