PARIS — David and Catherine Dow of Paris are announcing the engagement of their daughter, Molly Elizabeth Dow of Portland, to Michael Landis Simmons of Henderson Harbor, N.Y., son of Robert and Claudia Simmons of Hanover, Pa.

Miss Dow is a 2006 graduate of Oxford Hills Comprehensive High School and a 2010 graduate of the University of Southern Maine with a bachelor’s degree in political science. She is currently pursuing her master’s degree in community planning and development at the Muskie School of Public Service at the University of Southern Maine.

Mr. Simmons is a 2005 graduate of South Western High School and a 2009 graduate of the United State Military Academy at West Point with a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering. He is currently serving as an engineer officer stationed at Fort Drum, N.Y.

A July 16 wedding will be held in Rangeley.
