ANDOVER — Katherine Violet Swasey and Jeffrey Glenn Benson of Andover, together with their families, are announcing their engagement.

Ms. Swasey is the daughter of Barry and Susan Swasey of Andover. She is a 2003 graduate of Telstar Regional High School after which she attended the University of Southern Maine. She is currently employed at Western Maine Accounting Services in Rumford.

Mr. Benson is the son of Paul Benson of Bryant Pond and Kathy Benson of Bethel. He is a 2005 graduate of Telstar Regional High School after which he attended Central Maine Community College. He is currently employed at Swasey Excavation in Andover as well as the Sudbury Inn in Bethel.

The wedding is being planned for Oct. 8, 2011, at Saddleback Mountain in Rangeley.
