SOUTH PARIS — At a luncheon ceremony recently, the owners of Black Bear Entertainment LLC presented certificates and checks totaling $40,000 to a variety of organizations and groups working to help Oxford Hills citizens.

Receiving donations were: Toys for Oxford County fund, Oxford Hills Food Pantry, Oxford Hills Christmas for Teens, Bryant Pond 4-H Camp and Learning Center, Moss Brook Outreach No String Attached Program, Progress Center and Dancing Trees Winter Boots for Kids. The town of Oxford’s Thanksgiving Fund and the Keep Oxford Warm Fund also received contributions.

Bob Bahre, a partner in Black Bear Entertainment, said the awards are a way to thank the people who have made the many Maine businesses he founded such a success. Black Bear partners Suzanne Grover and Jim Boldebook said the contributions should be a great help to the many organizations who help feed needy area citizens.

One-fourth of the total was donated by Creative Design & Marketing, Black Bear’s advertising agency, represented by its president, Bob Cott.
