FARMINGTON — A snowstorm on Monday forced the Maine Bureau of Parks and Lands to reschedule to next week its public meeting to hear comments on its final draft of a management plan for parks and public lands in the Western Mountains region.
The meeting will be held from 5:30 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 14, in the University of Maine’s Thomas Auditorium at Preble Hall at 173 High St.
It’s being held to hear comments on the final draft of the Western Mountains Region Management Plan for parks and public lands in Maine’s Western Mountains region, which include: Rangeley Lake State Park, Bald Mountain in Oquossoc, Richardson Lakes Public Lands, Four Ponds Public Lands, Grafton Notch State Park and Mahoosuc Public Lands.
The plan will guide the bureau’s management of state parks and public lands for the next 15 years.
