AUBURN — The YMCA has partnered with the Maine Winter Sports Center and Auburn Nordic Ski Association to provide an affordable way to stay active – as a family or individually – and enjoy the outdoors during the winter season.

The Healthy Hometown Cross Country Ski Lease Program, through the Maine Winter Sports Center, offers a full set of cross country ski equipment (skis, boots, poles) for the season. Fees are $55 with YMCA membership, $55 with Youth Learn To Ski program registration or $65 for nonmembers.

Enrollment and sizing will take place from noon to 2 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 12, in the YMCA gym. Equipment distribution will take place from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 16, at the Y.
