AUBURN — A record number of 83 students at Central Maine Community College have been inducted as new members of Phi Theta Kappa, the international honor society for two-year colleges. To be a member of Phi Theta Kappa, students must be pursuing an associate degree and have a cumulative grade point average of at least 3.5 on a 4.0 scale.
The CMCC chapter of Phi Theta Kappa, Alpha Phi Xi, held an induction ceremony for new members on Nov. 17. Chapter President Gail Bennett presided, assisted by officers Allicea Howard, Jamie Petersdorf and Suzanne Cohen. Treasurer and Regional Officer Patricia Douglass delivered the main address.
