Outlook: The boys’ team took a big hit due to graduation last year, but the skiers who are back and the newcomers are, according to Williamson, ready to roll. The girls outnumber the boys by a lot and the girls’ team is very talented. There is a group of experienced skiers who competed at the state meet, J2 Festival, and the Eastern High School Championships last year, and the Hornets will be a strong favorite in the KVAC and state Class A meets.

Coach’s comment: “The girls team will be making heads turn and will be vying for conference and state championships. I am very excited to see what the boys team can do because they are motivated and ready.” — Coach Dustin Williamson
