Outlook: Lewiston led off the MPA’s sanctioning of girls’ hockey with a bang, heading to the finals in the sport’s first two official years. It’s not going to be easy if they want to make it three. A large group of important players are missing from last year’s squad, including more than 75 percent of the goal production. But the Devils do have some consistency on the back end, with a pair of seasoned goalies and a handful of tried and true defenders. Playoffs are not out of the question.

Coach’s comment: “A realistic goal for us this year is to improve as the year goes on and to be in a position in january to at least make a run at qualifying for postseason play.” — Coach Ron Dumont
