Coach: Trevis Knapp (first year)
Last year’s record: 5-13
Returning letter winners: Seniors — Keenan Dock (5-4 guard), Aaron Jalbert (5-5 guard); Juniors — Parker Kennedy (6-0 forward), Tyler Hupper (6-5 center); Sophomores — Ian James (6-1 forward), Ethan Boyd (5-11 guard).
Key losses: Jim Barker, Jarrod Blood, Joey Lampron, Kenny Moir, Lincoln Dyar.
Promising newcomers: Not available at press time.
Outlook: Knapp, a recent Dirigo and UMF graduate, becomes the Roadrunners’ third different coach in four years. He inherits a team that is thin with varsity experience and graduated one of the MVC’s top players in Barker. Hupper has the skill to emerge as a go-to player. He also represents much of Mt. Abram’s size. Knapp, who is new to coaching at this level after working as an official during college, has emphasized the importance of doing the little things right in hopes of making what would seem a big jump into Western Class C contention.
Coach’s comment: “If we work hard and focus on the details, we have an opportunity to turn the program around. We have a group of individuals hungry for success.” — Coach Trevis Knapp
